Policy Deployment
This method – also known as “policy deployment” – is of fundamental importance to a KAIZEN process since it provides the improvement process with a clear direction (Hoshin), an implementation plan (Kanri) and a follow-up tool.
Hoshin represents an instrument for driving improvement processes with objectives for a special site, area or process that are linked to the overall site improvement objectives which are again linked up to improvement objectives all the way up to the president of the company. The whole process will be directly developed from the vision, mission, strategy and the annual policy of the company.
