SOSCOT – Social Skill and Competence Training – a 3 days group dynamics leadership training was introduced that keeps on running ever since.
1978
Michael Lezius, AGP und A.Oess, IMT undertook first initiative for founding the Gesellschaft für Organisationsentwicklung (GOE)
1980
A.Oess, IMT with partners Christoph Lauterburg, Karsten Trebesch, Klaus Doppler H.Rieckmann, Burkhard Sievers u.a. were founding the GOE.
The duration of SOSCOT was changed from 3 to 6 days.

IMT and G.Spiess were organizing the annual INSEAD Alumni Conference „Japanische Management Methoden (Japanese Management Methods)“ in Düsseldorf, Park Hotel
1982
IMT together with RKW and DGFP were organizing the “Ersten Deutschen Quality Circle (QC) Kongress” in Düsseldorf and 11 consecutive QC conferences.
1983
IMT invited W.Edwards Deming, the famous quality GURU, as keynote speaker for the “2. Deutschen QC Kongress” in Bonn (Germany).
1984
A.Oess, IMT together with H.J.Dorr, RKW, Prof.W..Bungard, Prof.K.J. Zink u.a. were founding the “Deutsche Quality Circle Gesellschaft (German Quality Circle Association)”
1985
IMT and partners from France, Italy, Spain, England, Sweden and Belgium were organizing the first „ International Quality Circle Conference“ in Brussels with 900 participants.
An international network for QC, TQM and later Lean with these partners was founded.
1986
IMT invited Prof. K.Ishikawa, Tokio, the famous Japanese quality expert, as keynote speaker for the “ 5. Deutschen Qualitäts und QC Kongress“ in Bad Soden (Germany)

First TQM mission to the “Japanese Union of Scientists and Engineers (JUSE)” and various well known Japanese TQM companies like SONY, Subaru et.al..

IMT invited Philip B. Crosby as keynote speaker for the “6. Deutschen Qualitäts und QC Kongress“ in Hannover (Germany)
1986
IMT and international partners were organizing the „ 2.International Quality Circle Conference“ in Paris (France) with ca. 16 000 participants.
1988
IMT invited Masaaki Imai for his first KAIZEN Training in Cologne (Germany)
1989
A.Oess was participating in his first KAIZEN workshop organized in a muffler company in Valencia (Spain) guided by Y.Iwata und Ch.Nakao, of Shingijutsu, Nagoya, Japan.
1990
TQM mission by A.Oess to the Florida Power and Light Company, Miami, first Non-Japanese winner of the famous Deming Prize.
1992
IMT began KAIZEN cooperation with Japanese consulting company Shingijutsu, Nagoya (Japan), founded by former Toyota Managers.
IMT began training of its consultants together with Shingijutsu consultants in KAIZEN philosophy and methods in Japanese companies like Toyota, Yamatake-Honeywell, Isuzu, Showa-Tekko, Hitachi, Mogami and others.
IMT was consulting KAIZEN with companies in Germany, Poland, France, Italy, Spain, England, Ireland, Wales, Scotland, India, Turkey, Brasil, Hungary, Czech Republic, Slovakia, USA etc.
