KAIZEN has also successfully been applied to road construction and construction activities in general. Detailed planning of daily work, explicit preparation of machines, establishment of smooth procedures without waiting or idle times, precise alignment of manual and machine work, better utilization of expensive machines as well as rigorously focussing all activities on value adding are indispensable tasks in this context. At any rate KAIZEN also is targeted here to eliminating waste in order to increase productivity.
