The Methodology: The Workshop on Site

The most important instrument for the implementation of KAIZEN is primarily the workshop on the shopfloor (Gemba) in the plant or administrative area during normal work time which lasts approximately one week.

The workshop is the beginning of all practical activities. It is the central place for analysis and improvement activities for all associates which are concerned by any of these actions. Here the concept and the philosophy are conveyed, new ideas tested and immediately implemented, important tests conducted and analyzed as well as improvements developed, that can be immediately implemented into real life by the participants.
